Corresont, Senalloy Moirae

Name: Corresont, Senalloy Moirae

Aliases: Sen, Alloy

Inspired by: Will Greenway

Appears in: Shaladen Chronicles: A Knot in Time, Shaladen Chronicles: Anvil of Sorrow, Shaladen Chronicles: Who Mourns the Creator, Gaea's Legacy: Eternal's Agenda, Gaea's Legacy: Savants Ascendant, Gaea's Legacy: The Infinity Annihilator

Occupation: Bodyguard

Birthplace: Unknown

Hair: Silver

Eyes: Violet

Height: 6'10" 6'1"

Weight: 450 lbs 170lbs

Unusual Features: Baronian's like many elder races have denser tissue than is typical for a human. Baronians have roughly double the tissue density of a normal human. As a result, Baronian strength and resistance to injury is commensurately higher. Baronian physiology is geared for battle and their endurance, reaction time, healing rate, and other combat factors are all significantly enhanced. After being set free from enslavement, Senalloy was allowed to regain the full measure of her strength and powers which easily exceeded Rakaar's both in combat and magic. This of course being the reason she was kept weakened and enslaved in the first place.

Age: 30,000+ (???)

Martial Status: Unmarried

Known Relatives: Luthice Corresont (sister)

Group Affiliations: Protectorate, Kriar Council, Malanian royal family

Magical Skills: The full extent of Senalloy's magical abilities is still as yet unknown, but she is capable of recognizing and casting the highest orders of spells. She is adept at fast-casting and can even fast-cast spells of the 5th magnitude which is typically only possible by the most powerful elders. Given these observations, she, at the very least is equal to a grand-loremage.

Tournament Rank: Senalloy does not yet attend tournaments (but she intends to do so in the future). The Baronian war-witch is at the very least an elder, with extensive combat experience. She has sparred with 14th circle masters and defeats them easily. This makes her an unlimited class competitor. She has sparred competitively with Dulcere Starbinder, a command rank Kriar with significant battle experience, and was able to keep up with her. This means that she fights in the "untouchable" class of elder elites such as Loric Felspar and Aarlen Frielos.

Information: Senalloy's origin and histories remain largely a mystery. As revealed in Shaladen Chronicles: A Knot In Time she is no less than five millenniums old (this is the length of time she was a slave to Rakaar). Though the actual events that led her to come into Rakaar's custody have not been revealed, it is speculated that she was given to him as a punishment. When Dulcere, and later Corim, meet Senalloy, she is horribly scarred and disfigured as a result of torture. This she explains was punishment for attempting to escape. Senalloy never alludes to Rakaar having done it, so one can only assume this punishment was received at an earlier date and merely maintained by the cruel and indifferent battle-mage.

At some point prior to her involvement with Rakaar, Senalloy came in contact with a Kriar engineer on Karanganoi homeworld. It is from this Kriar that Senalloy learns the Kriar language and attains her formidable understanding of Kriar artifices. Senalloy has demonstrated the ability to pilot shuttle, freighter, and fighter class Kriar starcraft. She has a strong working knowledge of cyber systems and self-willed mecha. She is even capable of minor repairs on these various devices.

According to Senalloy, she helped organize a Karanganoi resistance, and helped key Kriar personnel find refuge amongst the various resistance cells on Karanganoi homeworld. Presumably, it is these acts for which Senalloy is punished and enslaved.

After being freed from Rakaar by Corim, the powerful Baronian lady becomes infatuated with the young man. Her relationship with him is half teasing/half serious. The fact that Corim only has eyes for Dulcere Starbinder has kept Senalloy from making much progress. Given events that have so far transpired, Senalloy could easily win Corim too her, as the (comparatively) young man is already fond of her.
In the latter portion of the Shaladen Chronicles: Anvil of Sorrow, Corim, Senalloy, and Dulcere become partners. Dulcere essentially offers engagement to Senalloy and to Corim as mates. As part of this arrangement she and Senalloy "compromise" to minimize competition between them, so they joy-form together to become closer in appearance to one another, Senalloy shorter and restored to her normal proportions, and slender Dulcere getting taller and fuller. The three are still new to being in a relationship but are, so far, happy.

Crowninshield, Elsbeth Dalia

Name: Crowninshield, Elsbeth Dalia

Aliases: Counsel Crowninshield, The Scarlet Mage

Inspired by: Kaye Boardman

Appears in: Shaladen Chronicles: A Knot In Time, Shaladen Chronicles: Anvil of Sorrow, Shaladen Chronicles: Who Mourns the Creator, Gaea's Blood, Gaea's Legacy

Occupation: Government Leader (Judiciary Counsel of the 27th Magocracy of the Ring Realms), Mage for Hire, Protectorate Enforcer

Birthplace: The Belostari Colony, bordering the 4th Alliance territories

Hair: Red (Polychromatic)

Eyes: Blue

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 130

Unusual Features: Elsbeth is constantly under the influence of magics which manipulate the light around her. No matter what the visual conditions are, the illumination always reveals her in the "best light". Elsbeth's red hair shimmers and changes under brightly lit conditions the hue darkening or lightening with her mood. Elsbeth's mastery of magic enables her to change her shape at any time. Though she has had the Shaladen Starwind within her possession for many years, the permanent effects caused the augmenting energies within the weapon have not affected her. So, unlike other the other members of the Shael Dal, she does not have increased density.

Age: approx 40,000

Martial Status: Separated.

Known Relatives: Too numerous to list. All of Elsbeth's immediate children are no longer alive. However more than 40 generations of sucessors live on. Descendents of her blood number in millions.

Group Affiliations: Protectorate Enforcement, 27th Magocracy of the Ring Realms, Counsel of Isis, House Felspar, House Ishtarvariku

Magical Skills: Elsbeth is an elder elite with magical skills far in excess of a grand lore-mage. Her magic is unquestionably among the strongest in all of the Ring Realms. Only the Eternals, Jyril, and a handful of elders and ancients have skills any more sophisticated. Elsbeth's specialty is mind control (charms), but she has also developed an extremely complete arsenal of magic specifically designed for destroying technology and/or hindering its operation.

Tournament Rank: Elsbeth does not engage in physical combat, and its been millenniums since it was necessary. Under duress, she trains with the rest of Shael Dal-- she recently started a tutelage with Beia Targallae after having been thrashed by another elder who was immune to magic. She is in training to get a rematch. Currently she would be considered to have 4th Rank combat skills. In terms of battle capabilities, there are few creatures in the Realms that can withstand even one of her battle spells.

Information: Prime Counsel of the 27th Magiocracy of the Ring Realms. Elsbeth is one the two acknowledged living members of the elder elite. Elsbeth is the long-time foe of Aarlen Frielos, and the primary head of an isolationist movement that is fighting to keep magic and technology seperate. Elsbeth joined the Shael Dal shortly after Koass made the decision to allow Aarlen Frielos work off her debt to society within the ranks of the Protectorate. Elsbeth claims she entered the Shael Dal in order to maintain certain standards, but its most likely she wants to keep an eye on her hated enemy. If Aarlen is caught in a breech of
probation, it is likely Elsbeth with be there to make sure Koass knows. Elsbeth has the ability to time dive but her
skills are quite a bit less refined.

Exact details are sketchy, but Esbeth's millenniums long feud with Aarlen is rumored to originate with the razing of one of the four core Ring Realms planets (presumably Elsbeth's birthplace). The planet was subjected to a bombing that infected the inhabitants with a crippling
disease. If this is indeed the case, it would also explain Elsbeth's hatred of technology. There is some support for this story because it is rumored that in Elsbeth's earlier days before she could alter her shape, she was both crippled and disfigured. The truth of this matter may never come to light as Elsbeth does not speak of her past but in generalities. As with Aarlen, Elsbeth's exact
age is difficult to pin-point, but it is surmised she is about four to five millennia younger than Aarlen hence the difference in their powers and abilities.

D'Tarin, Algernon

Name: D'Tarin, Algernon

Birthplace: North-eastern Ivaneth

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Blue

Height: 6'0" [6'3"]

Unusual Features: Like the other members of the Protectorate Algernon's body is denser than a normal human's. Wielding the Shaladen Warstar and as the Avatar of the Eternal Garn, Algernon can increase his mass and strength to far greater levels than any of the other members. He can raise his strength to the point that he can easily lift over ten tons, and can deform high grade steel with his hands.

Known Relatives: Wife (Angella), Daughter (Valsiden)

Group Affiliations: The Protectorate, The Band of the Crescent Moon, The Falorian Warrior's Academy, House Felspar, The Barony of Eastern Ivaneth, House Tradeholme, The House of Ivaneth Lords.

Magical Skills: Algernon possesses some minor wilderness related magic that is a product of his training as a ranger.

Tournament Rank: Algernon does not regularly participate in tournament play. He does however participate in the Frielos-held "Hunter's Game" which is a combination of combat, stealth, and strategy. Algernon has extensive combat experience, and has been a part of several war campaigns and adventures. Even without the enhancements of his Shaladen blade he is a 14th rank warrior.

Information: Algernon is a second generation member of the Band of the Crescent Moon. He is one of the Band who elected to remain involved in Ivaneth affairs. He currently holds the titles of Lord and Baron, and is the active guardian of the Ivaneth's Northeastern border. Algernon and Talorin Falor are drinking buddies and team members for the Shael Dal. They play together quite successfully for the Frielos Hunt.

D'Shar, T'Gor

Name: D'Shar, T'Gor

Wielding the Shaladen Korvel and as the Avatar of the Eternal Sroth, T'Gor has natural camoflaging ability, able to adapt his skin and clothing like a built in ghillie-suit. When needed he can become wraith-like and intangible, undetectable to even the most powerful magic. T'Gor's shaladen Korvel, is the sharpest and most physically lethal of all the shaladens. In the hands of a master of the Dan'Sadad fighting technique he is a harrowing enemy.

Age: 61

Martial Status: Married Tigress D'Shar

Known Relatives: Tigress D'Shar (wife)

Group Affiliations: Band of the Crescent Moon, Kingdom of Ivaneth, Protectorate

Magical Skills: As a ranger lord, T'Gor has some minor druidic magic at his disposal. After a life of adventuring, T'Gor has numerous magical gadgets at his disposal.

Tournament Rank: T'Gor is a regular competitor at the All-worlds Tournament and on a first name basis with Euriel Kergatha, and Idun (the tournament patron). T'Gor is renowed competitor and fights in the 12th circle unlimited class of tournament play. He is rarely places below the third bracket in single elimination play.

Information:
Active member of the Shael Dal wielding the Shaladen blade Korvel. T'Gor is a master of the Dan'Sadad a close-in fighting style noted for its difficulty to counter. He shares this distinction with Talorin Falor. He is however noted to be a better defender than Tal. T'Gor and Algernon D'Tarin are close ranger buddies and together do scouting missions for the Protectorate. T'Gor has a wife named Tigress who appeared to him in a (lucky?) pull of a Deck of Many Things.

T'Gor D'Shar fought for three years in the Arcturan Death Spectacles, learning the Dan Sadad from various blockmasters. He deliberately forfeited optional matches to maintain his contract but not dig himself into a hole where he could not win his way out.

When he felt he had learned everything of value, he began his push to win his way clear of the arena. Unfortunately, T'Gor had become rather popular and had a reputation for winning all the big fights. When it looked like T'Gor would get himself free. Meridian arranged to have him fight Beia.

The fight was vicious and Beia was more than challenged by this powerful draftee. However, her greater experience and wild animal power (plus a little rigging by Meridian) ensured that she defeated him. This being her six hundredth battle, Beia resented that Meridian had robbed her of a fair fight. She chose to take T'Gor's service rather than deprive him of his magic items.

It was during this service time that T'Gor and Beia Targallae got to know one another. Both of them were mutually angry at Meridian's rigs, T'Gor for being duped, and Beia for being robbed of an honorable challenge against a worthy opponent. It was during this time that T'Gor convinced Beia to try to leave the arenas. Years of conditioning and abuse had made her believe that it was not possible to overcome Meridian.

T'Gor believed different. His plan was to request a special challenge rematch and have Beia throw the fight. He would "kill" her and collect the body as his spoils. Of course, there was the little matter of winning six more fights. With Beia's additional training and coaching, T'Gor won the six fights and made the special challenge against Beia.

It was this "special challenge bout" that brought Beia to the attention of Aarlen Frielos. Unbenownst to Beia and T'Gor, the fight had been rigged so BOTH warriors would end up in a three way match and get defeated. This was known to the spectators but not the two warriors. It was Aarlen who made the gave the gift of Tariegron, the great battle blade to Beia right before the fight. The odds ranged from fifty to one to over a hundred-to-one against the two fighters surviving.

The battle was horrendous, invisible block masters, monsters and a host of trickery was turned against them. However, Meridian had not counted on Tariegron's vorpul edge nor the determination of the two. When the dust had settled they had defeated four Rhinotaurs, a half dozen hidden block masters, and several other fighters. Gasping for breath, facing Meridian's box the two of them looked up at him defiantly. While Beia stood their glaring at the evil mage, T'Gor stepped back and slammed Beia across the back of the head, knocking her unconscious and "defeating" her for the seventh time. T'Gor claimed her "body" as the spoils. Emotions from this titanic struggle were so high and audience involvement so great that Meridian was forced to release T'Gor who in turn pulled Beia from the arena.

After a brief stint with freedom and recovery, Beia and T'Gor would return to the arena to help others escape the rigged battles including Beia's younger sister Ess.
